Natural Pot & Dish Brush
Sustainable • Durable • Plastic-Free
Replace plastic sponges with our heavy-duty bamboo brushes. Crafted with sustainably sourced bamboo handles and biodegradable plant-fibre bristles, these brushes offer a high-performance, low-impact solution for your daily kitchen ritual.
Choose Your Fibre:
-
Sisal Fibre (Gentle): Derived from the agave plant, these bristles are supple yet resilient. Ideal for delicate crockery, glassware, cutlery, and everyday plates.
-
Coconut Fibre (Firm): Harvested from the tough inner husk of the coconut, these bristles are naturally anti-bacterial and exceptionally firm. Perfect for scouring pots, pans, and stubborn cast iron.
The Perfect Pair For the ultimate plastic-free clean, use these brushes in tandem with our Dish Soap Bar. Simply wet the brush, rub it onto the soap to create a rich lather, and scrub.
Pro-Tip: We recommend having two brushes on rotation—one Sisal for your daily plates and one Coconut for your heavy-duty pots. This allows each brush time to dry completely between uses, significantly extending the life of the plant fibres.
Caring for Your Natural Brushes
Because our brushes are crafted from 100% natural bamboo and plant fibres, they are fully compostable at the end of their life. To ensure they serve your kitchen for as long as possible, follow these simple care steps:
1. Keep it Dry (The Golden Rule)
Bamboo is a natural grass and plant fibres are porous. The most important thing you can do is never leave your brush soaking in a sink of water. * After use: Rinse the bristles thoroughly to remove any food particles or soap suds.
-
Storage: Store the brush bristles down or hanging up. This allows water to flow away from the bamboo handle, preventing the wood from softening or cracking.
2. Let it Breathe
Ensure your brush is stored in a well-ventilated area where it can air-dry completely between uses. Avoid keeping it in a closed cupboard or a damp corner of the sink.
3. Occasional Deep Clean
Every few weeks, you can give your brush a quick "refresh":
-
Swirl the bristles in a bowl of warm water with a splash of white vinegar.
-
This naturally disinfects the fibres and removes any built-up oils from pots and pans.
4. Condition the Wood
If the bamboo handle starts to look dry after several months of heavy use, you can rub a small amount of our Timber & Leather Conditioning Butter into the wood to restore its lustre and water resistance.
5. The End of the Journey
When the bristles eventually wear down, don't throw the brush in the bin! Our brushes are 100% home compostable. Simply place it in your compost bin or green waste to return it to the earth.
